Welcome to the website
of the Royal Bahamas Police in the Bimini Division. Our hope
is that through this site you can learn more about the Bahamas'
police service and in particular the work of the Royal Bahamas
Police on the island of Bimini.
Use the
link buttons along the upper left side of this page and all other
pages to find more information.
The Royal Bahamas Police is
the national police service of The Bahamas and is responsible for
policing all of the country's islands and settlements. Police
officers undertake an initial six month training period at the
Bahamas Police College in Nassau or Freeport and upon
graduation are awarded the rank of "police
constable". They are posted to stations throughout the
country. There are 2,800 serving police officers in The Bahamas.
They are assisted by over 1,000 police reserve officers who also
work in every area of policing and by a large cadre of District
Constables working in particular police programmes and initiatives.
The officers in Bimini form
part of this highly respected national police
service.
