Persons are recommended to the Royal Bahamas Police in Bimini by schools, churches, organisations and places of employment. Candidates must be between ages 15 and 25 and live or have lived on Bimini.

The Young People of The Month are awarded a certificate or recognition, gifts from the business sponsors of the programme and a gift from the Royal Bahamas Police.

We honour these remarkable young people...and there are many more.

Tristan Kelly, 17

A student of Gateway Christian Academy, Tristan Kelly was recommended as Young Person of The Month by his employer, Esther Edgecombe, owner of Captain Bob's Restaurant in Alice Town. For nearly two years Tristan has worked as a waiter and kitchen helper rarely missing work which is every weekend and daily during the summer months and school holidays beginning at 6AM. "Very helpful, mannerly. responsible and honest," said Mrs Edgecombe. His co-workers agree. His teachers also think highly of him. "Always helpful and cooperative", said Mr Dwyane Booth of Gateway Academy. Tristan also plays senior boys' basketball and runs track.

Dallas Strachan,18, is recognised and recommended by the Big Game Resort and Marina where he works weekends in the restaurant. Dallas is recognised for his sense of dependability, initiative and responsibility, congeniality, good attitude and manners. His employers are highly appreciative of his example of responsibility and good work.

Kinverley Cox, 16, is a student at Gateway Christian Academy.She is being recognised for good manners, a positive attitude and for a serious approach to school work. All of her teachers praised her for her kind and gentle manner and for the serious approach she takes towards her school work.

Cordeidra Rolle, Honour Student Gateway Christian Acadermy. Described as "cheerful, involved and intelligent", by several of her teachers, Cordeidra is recognised as a Youth of The Month by the police in Bimini. Active in school events and in church programmes she is also a weekend worker at Capt Bob's Restaurant in Alice Town, Bimini.

L/Cpl Dimagio Bullard, USMC, currently posted in Japan has also served in Iraq.  We ask that God keep him safe. A dual Bahamian-US citizen, he attended Holy Name Catholic School in Bimini

Members of The Bimini Junior District Council 2005

They are(not in order): Cordeidra Rolle, Junior Chief Councillor, Gazelle Glass, Deputy Chief, with Junior Councillors, Gudio Rolle, Jalita Toote, Patrinella Levarity, Kotekennya Rolle, Jalysha Stuart, James Brown and Nadia Rolle. All of these young people were selected by their peers to serve of Bimini's junior town council.

Davaria Sherman was recoginsed as a remarkable student at both Bimini All Age School and Gateway Academy in Bimini where she recieved excellent academic honours. She is now attending college in the USA.

Martino Davis, USN - has served in Japan and Iraq and is now posted to Italy. We pray that God will keep him safe. A dual Bahamian-US citizen, he attended Bimini All Age School.
